Welcome To Historic Columbia Cemetery

Columbia cemetery, located in the Sierra Nevada’s Tuolumne county has been an active cemetery since 1852. The earliest burials were Gold miners who were part of the 1849 California’s Gold Rush.

This webpage provides burial records of the individuals buried or who have purchased plots within the cemetery. It also provides information about the history of the cemetery including history of some of the more prominent individuals buried here. Cemetery location maps can also be found within the webpage.

There are four cemeteries located Columbia Cemetery: the PUBLIC CEMETERY, the INTERNATIONAL ORDER Of ODD FELLOWS (IOOF) CEMETERY, the MASONIC CEMETERY, and the G.A.R CEMETERY.

You can browse through the Webpage to learn more about the Columbia Cemetery, who is buried within the cemetery, and information about these individuals or you can use the search bar to search for a specific individual.
